The GAN15 UV 3x3 (LBL Spring Mod) is lighter, faster, and performs better than the GAN14. This puzzle comes with 3 different sets of corner-core magnet rods to adjust magnetic feel, and has the LBL Design's GAN15 Spring Conversion Kit preinstalled.

This puzzle may feel tight out of the box, it may take a few solves for the springs to loosen up and for the cube to reach its full potential.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Disappointing

Out of the box, I immediately noticed a flaw with the puzzle I received. When I spend $88 on a puzzle, with a premium setup from a company I have trusted for years, I expect the puzzle to seriously be premium. Instantly I noticed a prominent spring noise and squeaking from the puzzle I received. This is severely disappointing. I paid extra for a premium setup for this puzzle only for it to simply not be premium.

I own a Gan 15, and I have also tried the LBL spring mod before. I purchased this since I thought on my original attempt at setting up the spring mod that I did it incorrectly due to how unusable the cube was. Purchasing this made me realize that I was correct, I had originally set up the cube wrong. The LBL spring mod, however, does work very well for the Gan 15 in the provided setup.

The actual feel of the puzzle is interesting. I set up my original Gan 15 just with FZ Calm and FZ Rush, so I was expecting the feel of this puzzle to be pretty similar, but they honestly feel quite different. This doesn't mean the feeling is bad, it is just different from what I expected. It is still a pretty nice feeling overall though as it has a very dampened sound and a controllable feel.

Overall I am quite disappointed simply due to the fact that I spent so much money on this puzzle only for it to have spring noise out of the box. Sure, that is something I can fix, but when I pay from a premium setup, I expect it to be premium.

Thanks for your review, and I am sorry to hear that your cube had spring noise! We do lube the springs to prevent this, but it's not always completely effective, especially since the puzzle has to sit for shipping. If you would like, we can offer a $5 gift card for the inconvenience of having to add more lube.
