Product Description

The MFJS MeiLong Polaris Cube is a new puzzle with a different type of mechanism. In order to scramble it completely, you must turn each corner by 60°, this unlocks the skewb mechanism underneath. This puzzle gets confusing quickly, so step up your game and give it a shot!

Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Great for $7.

OVERVIEW:
The Polaris Cube is a Skewb with turning corners. Once lined up, Skewb moves can be made. If you can solve a Skewb and a Pyraminx, with a little time playing around, you can solve a Polaris Cube. It catches occasionally, but despite this, it's never popped on me, and is a fun puzzle to solve if you have five minutes to kill, but don't want a real brain-teaser.

PROS: The plastic doesn't feel cheap, the colors are nice, and the cube turns nicely. Never had a pop.
CONS: The pieces can sometimes catch and misalign. You may also notice that they seem or feel a little loose, but they don't pop.

Great cube

Got this as a gift and it is a great and fun cube to try and work out how to solve I would definitely recommend if you can solve a regular skewb and a pyraminx its so nice to chill listen to music and solve while sitting in the garden

Get this for branching out in shape mods

This is a perfect skewb mod to get into the wide world of corner turning shape mods, and is a fantastic stepping stone to get into skewb mods. At this price point, along with the Maple leaf skewb are fantastic. The corners all need to be turned before the solve and aren't turned back into cube position until the end of the solve, so I find that odd. It turns smooth, but sometimes the corners will turn out of place when handling during a solve and it can be a small source of frustration, but it has more corner cutting than I expected. Would recommend!

Lots of fun

Really nice puzzle. Just enough challenge so that you can solve it without instructions , but still is a challenge. Really cool looks.

It looks more intimidating then it really is

So looking at this cube scrambled is very intimidating. So many colors and trying to understand how everything turns. This is definitely not for speed solving. Turning this puzzle kinda fast will pop or break the puzzle(very fragile).
Now when I purchased it,i didn't understand the puzzle was a skewb mod(I don't care for skewb)(wish they posted it was a skewb mod) Skewb to me is way too simple and quiet boring. This is Just a skewb solve which is Very easy(but your forced to turn very carefully and slow). Skewb solve plus the corners. I didn't have too look anything up I didn't need any special algorithms. The puzzle looks hard but it's rather simple. Just time consuming due to turning slow. Overall I say worth the collection, not worth it for the puzzle part. Unless u love skewb.

Very enjoyable puzzle.

I loved to mess with and solve this puzzle. It's a good difficulty where it will challenge your brain, but won't destroy it. Only flaws would be that sometimes pieces can catch on each other and make it difficult to turn, but for this price that's expected.

Interesting puzzle, but catches often

I got this puzzle because the star shape looks like the one from Genshin Impact. The turning is pretty smooth, but whenever I try to do a RH clockwise turn, the tiny pieces catch on each other and stop the turn. As I just got this puzzle for the novelty factor, this doesn't bother me too much, but this definitely makes it less fun to solve.

Awsome puzzle

Really good turning quality, just a little confusing on the skewb part. Otherwise awsome puzzle.

Lovely design, new solve

This cube makes me angry because I cannot for the life of me solve it and I’m not turning to outside help until I can. If you like the fun in solving a cube you’ve never solved before and figuring out the solution, THIS is the cube for you. Just be a lil careful because if u too rough with it the cube will pop. It is a splendid design though
