The LBL Designs DianSheng FTO anti-pop kit adds a second track to the DianSheng FTO to reduce edge pops. This kit comes with 8 center extensions and 13 edge extensions, including one extra. If you enjoy FTO and are tired (or scared) of explosions, give this a try!Please note that super glue is required, but not included, to install this kit. We recommend Impact Tough Gorilla brand super glue because it dries less quickly than other super glue, giving you more time to install the parts.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Necessary for the diansheng, if you don't want it exploding 24/7

I really enjoy solving with this kit. It doesn't change the feeling of the puzzle at all, yet adds an extra layer or confidence in your turning because it almost completely mitigates the explosions that one normally gets. I've had ~2 explosions in 718 solves, compared to one every 30 solves with an unmodded diansheng fto. definitely recommend getting this

To start, this is a really nice kit to have to decrease the amount of explosions the Diansheng FTO has every time an edge piece pops out. Explosions can still happen, however, especially if your tensions are loose. I also find that even with the anti-pop mechanism installed, edge pieces can still easily pop out when one side is turned half-way (as seen in the video). Also note that your FTO will feel/sound a bit scratchy if you don't properly center your edge pieces, so keep that in mind. Other than that, it's a very nice kit to have.

This kit made my FTO pop more

I don't know what happened but I installed the kit properly, and even on some of the tightest tensions it kept popping. I have not been able to do a solve as it keeps popping. my diansheng without the kit popped less on looser tensions.

I'm really sorry to hear that! Some of our testers have said that the kit makes it more difficult to find good tensions, but if your puzzle is tighter than before and still popping, that's very unusual. If you reply with pictures of a few of your edges, we'll take a look and try to figure out what is going on.
