Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Recommend It

It feels just like a Gan 356 Air SM

I like dis Rubrik, best rubrik cube . . .

TLDR: its similar to an Air, possessing the butter feel of GANs cubes. Turning is good, and its lubed out of the box. Has the clear ipg 2 or 3 nut . . . over all good cube. Pricey for non magnetic, but solid, good over all cube. Tough to be dropped from a dinner table (other cubes would sprinkel cubie/ cubey pieces all over the floor but not this one) and its ok.

THe review:

If this thing was closer to the $10 range it be sick (as in corona sun hot stuff not corona virus / cough up a lung / throw up your internals or liquid shoots out the # 2) . . .

But alas, Apple is Apple and Apple does what Apple does. But Apple make good cubes.

This corner cuts well for the actual tension its set it. The clear IPG nut is tighter than my prefernece (green for magnetized and yellow for non). If it had a green or yellow one installed, it'd corner cut just like my Air.

It turns well.

The tile thing is something one may like or not. It's not stickerless, but its not stickered either, so its something else. I'm ok with it. This fits in with the GTS3 vs WR arguments and valk power vs valk . Kylin V2 M fans and black kirin tiled ninjas will appreciate this.

My first two cubes were aolong v2 stickerless and this one. ANd I like both alot. I like the crunch and rawness of the aolong v2 and then contrast with the smooth and ease of this one.

Mine was lubed out of the box and so I liked it. Another reason I like this partly because the colors are like my the rubrik's cube (I wish I still had my 80's one as a kid but . . . ).

Oh and its hard to take apart, I had to pop the caps and loosen the bolt (yay for the GAN tool that came with the Air), not like the aolong v2, where I just twisted and the piece came out.

This thing doesn't have GAN tool nor the other color nuts, but GAN should have made a RSC normal with a ipg nuts and GAN tool, and RSC lite . . .)

GAN is making a successor with their logo insteand of Rubik's, and its out in 'Straya , the GSC. The colors look the same / and nut seems, so probably no changes

Over all, there are cubes better than this one, but for me, this one sits at the 70% and above. The Aolong V2 and the RSC aren't maining, but they always come back in my line up.

feels exactly like the air, just with tiles instead of stickers

Good but...

It's basically a Gan R but it doesn't come with the springs. It has the feel of a rubik's brand and is pre-lubed.

Excellent

When I received this cube as a gift I found it great. It was lightly lubed and has the best corner cutting I've ever seen. It has tiles but they feel good when you solve it. It is very buttery and it is my main at the moment.

Don't buy this piece of sh*t for speedcubing

It was already overlubed out of the box, but after wipe off the lube and breaking in, it got worse, this cube doesn't include a tensioning tool and some GES nuts, I have to deal with the gummy af feel ,this cube is not good at all

Not for speedcubers

The tiles are fairly slippery and make this cube pretty difficult to grip. They're noticeably thick too, which also may hinder turning if you're not used to that. The mechanism is a big step up from the old Rubik's branded cubes, but that's a pretty low bar to clear. On par with $8-10 budget cubes like the thunderclap, and that's reason enough to look elsewhere if you're trying to buy a cube at this price. Any top-tier cube from MoYu or QiYi blows this out of the water for roughly the same price. Great entry cube if you're a first-timer buying a cube in your local store, but if you're buying a cube here online, no reason to bother with this cube.
