Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Budget GAN smart cube

How much do you think you would find a regular smart cube to be? $60? Okay, what about a GAN? $100? With magnets? $125? This GAN Smart cube is for only $29.99! I was looking for a GAN 3x3 when I saw this thing pop up. I wasn't particularly looking for a smart cube, and when I clicked on this I didn't know this was a smart cube. I read the description to figure out this was a smart cube. Even if you do remove the smart feature, it still is at a cheap price for its performance. You can feel the magnetic force and corner cutting is quite good, except for backward corner cutting, which I am fine with. And I really do like version 4 of the app, especially the home screen. I also like that you can keep track of your solves and even see a graph of your times. This also works with non smart cubes that are not only 3x3, but any size from 2x2 to 7x7! So now you can get out that old 6x6 on your shelf and keep track of your solves. And you can organize your solves (2x2, OH, Fewest moves etc.) and look at your results at any time. And if you do your algorithms slow, you can practice them. I am very satisfied with this cube.

Stops working all the time

I am really disappointed with this cube. I must say that when this works, it works quite well. The cube feels amazing to turn, there are nice customization options, and the smart functions are super cool to see. However, the cube often stops working (the cube turns off) and the only temporary fix is incredibly arduous. The only way I can get the cube to turn back on is to disassemble it, remove the battery (which is quite difficult and requires a tiny tiny screwdriver), wipe the battery, and put it back in. So far, I have spent more time taking the battery out and putting it back in than I have solving the cube because it stops working that often and the fix is that slow.

This is speculative, but I believe that perhaps lubricant is getting in the battery compartment and interfering with the power. Please note that I did lube the cube myself, so I'm pretty confident that this error is not by me.

Pretty good cube - pretty terrible software

I've been using the Icarry for about 6 weeks now. The cube itself is very good. Because of the design, it is not as smooth and does not corner cut as well as a regular speedcube, but for a smartcube, it feels awesome. If you didn't know it was a smartcube and tried it out, you would just think it's a regular speedcube that catches from time to time.

The problem is the cubestation app, and for a smartcube, that's a pretty big problem. For the first 2 weeks I had the Icarry, I couldn't get cubestation to connect to Gan's server. On a positive note, Gan customer service is really top notch - and though it took some time, Gan was able to fix the problem (it was on their network end). The app is still incredibly glitchy - problems logging in (even with the correct password, it stills fails to login on the first attempt), random crashing, random network disconnects, and unexplained random slowdowns. When the app works, it is pretty darn cool - lots of stuff to unlock, numerous different challenges (timetrials, pvp matches, you can enter your own algs to practice, a single match "ladder" system with worldwide ranking, gifting, and other training). Gan also updates the app on a very regular basis.

The Icarry is now compatible with cubeast which is a HUGE plus, and you can bypass cubestation entirely.

Nice cube

Very clean turning and great corner cutting except for backwards corner cutting

Awesome

This is only my second cube, and there is no comparison. For 30 bucks this cube is very quick, very good corner cutting, and a lot quieter than my old cube. I'm aware that if you spend $70+ you can get the GAN 12 M Pro, but if you don't have that kind of money there is no question that you should get this cube.

Thanks for your review! Please just keep in mind that this is a smart cube and it is not allowed to be used in competitions. However, we agree that it's a great cube to practice with!

Great cube, absolutely garbage tensioning system

Wow, this is the worst experience of changing springs and nuts that I can imagine. Taking the center caps off is crazy hard compared to all other cubes, and then releasing the nuts is near impossible if you have short nails or fat fingers. Hopefully you enjoy the out of the box settings, because getting the caps and nuts on and off is ridiculous. Going to wait until I see my friend with longer nails. But really what is the deal with the center caps? Putting them back in made me feel as if I was going to break the cube. I'm wondering if anyone at GAN tried to adjust their settings before sending out the design, because holy shit it is tedious. Really fun and nice cube otherwise.

Great

It is a really great cube, my first magnetic cube and for the price I would say it is well worth it. I really enjoy this cube, and having the online feature where you can track your solve times, and race other people to get better is very fun.

Great cube, excellent budget smart cube for beginners and experienced cubers alike.

The app could use a modern redesign maybe a dark theme but its good for what it is. But the main attraction is the cube its self, This cube is speedy, high quality and for its price (which can be found below) its a great option. as I said only problem is the overall outdated interface on the app.

PRICING: You can catch this puzzle on sale at times for as low as 30 dollars but its current and most common price of $36.99 Id still a pretty great deal compared to other MORE expensive cube.
