Product Description

Lubicle Black is a thick but low friction metal-based lubricant by Cubicle Labs. Designed especially for metal-to-metal and metal-to-plastic contact, Lubicle Black is ideal for lubing the core and hardware of your puzzles. Apply a small drop to the head of each screw and the bottom of each center piece to unlock the best smoothness and speed a core lube can offer!

After some time sitting unused, this lube may separate. Simply stir it to thoroughly remix the solution. Then use as directed.

Lubicle Black comes with a green dispensing tip, a lube tip cap, rubber work gloves, and an introduction card.

Caution: High risk of staining, keep away from garments. We recommend lubing your cubes on top of a paper towel or other disposal surface. To remove the lube from your skin or other surfaces, wash thoroughly, rub with silicone oil, and then rinse with soap and water.

Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Lubicle Black is amazing

First off this is my first core lube so I can't compare it that well but some people say it is better than other core Lubes. Personally I agree 100%. I put some in my MoYu RS3 M 2020 and it completely got rid of the spring noise (which was pretty bad before) except for one side but I can only hear it if I turn really slow right next to my ear. I also put it in my new main which is the DaYan GuHong v4 M and it immediately made the turning of the sides a little faster and smoother. What I really like about it is after about 150 to 200 solves out of no where the cube got incredibly smooth and with the magnets in the cube it controlled perfectly. My only complaint with it is that it is quite messy so I recommend having a towel and wiping your hands continuously if you get it on you so you don't get it on the pieces because it isn't very easy to get off. Also, this could just be my fault for putting too much in the core but it gets on the tracks of the piece a little bit but it is easy to get off of the tracks and I don't notice it affecting the cube or spreading to the outside. This could be my fault like I said because I might have gone a little heavy on the amount of it I put in the core. Lastly, this could be taken as a good or bad thing but I can almost guarantee that the plastic in your cube will wear out before this does because even after putting a piece under running water the stuff wouldn't come off. I see that as a bonus though because of how much I love the cube.

So, basically you should definitely buy it but be careful when applying it so you don't get it on the pieces.

How is this even possible?

Ok so, it's basically dnm-37 that last forever. I got it and put it in the core of my valk 3 elite not expecting any difference much in performance. But nope, it was the opposite, it made my cube way faster and smoother and the fact that it's only 10 dollars and it last forever is insane. Please get this core lube and if you don't, you are missing out on it. Probably the best lube that Thecubicle ever created. 11/10

Thanks for your review! For anyone else reading this, I just want to reiterate that it is a core lube and is not intended for use on the pieces. However, the friction reduction in the core can speed up your cube.

Good lube

Good lube but made the inside of the Gan 11m pro completely black. I can’t even see the core. I only put the lube inside the center caps and it just spreads entirely inside the cube within a few solves. Im worried that this might affect my cube when the lube completely dries out. This Lube would be good on black internal cubes but be careful when putting this in white internal puzzles cause the inside just looks messy and unsatisfying. It looks like a squid sprayed ink inside of the cube. Otherwise it definitely does the job in eliminating spring noise and making it smoother

Decent Core Lube

Great core lube, that reduces spring noise. It is a bit hard to clean up and slows the cube down a little.

Revived my old Dayan Zhanchi

Back in 2013, I bought a Dayan Zhanchi, and it was BONE DRY. This wasn't really a problem for me initially because I only knew the beginners method for solving the cube. Well it's 2020 now, and I now use CFOP; I average around 16.50 seconds. I wanted to compare the Zhanchi to the Valk 3 Elite, my main. Well, the difference was night-and-day because the Zhanchi was still bone dry. It would lock up a lot, even with some Silk added to the pieces. So I wondered "what would happen if I used Lubicle Black to the cube?" Well I did that and HOLY CRAP IT MADE A LOT OF DIFFERENCE. The cube is very controllable now and it gained some speed. With some DNM-37, I can see how the Zhanchi was everybody's main back in 2012-13. Sure the lubes were different back at those time, but the effect would be the same with modern lubes. So I tried some solves and I'm getting near my normal average. So the Dayan Zhanchi is my new main! ......... OF COURSE NOT!!!! I still main the Valk 3 Elite, but I can finally appreciate my Zhanchi and gain some nostalgia from it. Lubicle Black is AWESOME!!!

My cube didn’t feel different at all

My Dayan tengyun v2 does not feel different with this but my other 3x3 feel faster and smoother with this, but I am disappointed, thank you.

Eh

This lube isnt really anything new to me, its way to runny and gets everywhere which makes it hard to apply, and after that i didnt notice any difference than with other lubes, this is not worth it, just get any other heavy lube
