It features various design improvements over the original ShengShou 4x4 that help give it a more modern feel and appearance. The stickers are also brighter compared to the original ShengShou 4x4 shades, and they now appear to be made of the same material as original MoYu stickers.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.
The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Stickers come off easy

I am not a cube expert, but I do consider myself a cuber. The cube turns very well and corner cutting is not THAT AMAZING but it is very good (after all, we have to be accurate when we do our turns!). The only thing that I do not like about the cube is that it feels a little sluggish in the turns, but I assume that with proper lubing it will get better. I didn't work the tension or the lubing of my cube, so this review is actually of what I got out of the box. And yes, expect a little excess of lube... (ShengShou xD)
This was my first 4x4 and I'm very dissapointed. Out of the box it feels really unstable and slow. I put 2 drops of Dnm-37 hoping it would improve the cube. I was wrong, even though the cube was slightly faster, it pops a lot. I can't solve this cube for long periods of time because all I am doing is re-asembling the cube. It is not worth the price, or buying at all. You're better off with better cheaper options.
For my first 4x4, I think this does pretty well. Corner cutting is almost zero, but it is very smooth and relatively fast. I haven't had any pops yet. Overall, good cube.
I got this cube with my first order from the cubical. And when I got it it was very scratchy and then I was stupid and lubed this cube with WD40 the cube became much quieter but it became much slower. I sence then cleaned out the WD40 and lubed with lube from Qiyi. The cube became instantly smooth and it was still quiet. This was my first 4x4 and I thought it was really good. I'm only giving this cube four stars becuse it does not really have any corner cutting. But I do recommend this cube to a begginer. If you are a intermediate cuber I recommend a Moyu or Qiyi. This cube is very good.
ShengShou wind is not particularly good out of the box. It was slow and had a very cheap feel resembling a mix of ShenHuan Mars and original ShengShou 4x4. Corner-cutting, however was decent in both the forward and reverse directions. I did 2 "mods" on this cube. I swapped out the springs for ShengShou LingLong 3x3 springs and glued in 96 magnets in both the outer and inner layers, resulting in a stable cube that required little force to turn the layers, and the cube also has a decent level of flexibility.
This cube easy to magnetise. Corners have a cap-design similar to the WeiLong GTS. Edges have caps facing inwards, making the inner layers a matter of gluing magnets onto caps. The result is not disappointing either, I got a cube that dropped my global average from 55 to 53, and also several 42 second and one 40 second single with this. The downside is that 96 magnets make this as heavy as a 6x6.
When I opened my package, the outside of the cube was extremely greasy. When I did my first turns, the tips of the corners popped off. I have not been able to use the cube because of this. Otherwise, the turning quality is nice.
The reason I got this cube is because the Shenhshou wind 3x3 was my main for a long time and this is what I was expecting it was really smooth and got really fast after breaking in so this is my main over the guansu
The shengshou wind 4x4 is a nice refreshing cube to turn. It has a bump on 45 degree turns but turns smoothly overall. I really enjoy how shengshou is remodeling their old cubes and making then more modern. This cube was fast out of the box but was easily slowed down with some traxxas 50k. Also this cube has excellent corner cutting, well over line to line forward and a half a cubie reverse. It has the same stable and smooth feeling as the original but has a lot less lock ups. It really has no flaws and it's price tag is just wonderful. However if I were you I would just get a guansu. It is $1.50 cheaper and is much better in all aspects. If you liked the original shengshou, but hated the lockups, or if you are lazy to mod it, this is an obvious choice. If you are looking for a new, cheap 4x4 that performs well, just get a guansu.
