Product Description

The GAN251 M Explorer is the newest 2x2 speed cube from GAN. This cube features all of the same characteristics of the 249 V2 M like great corner cutting, matte finish, a light/airy feel, and a medium magnetic strength. This small increase in size (2mm), although seemingly insignificant, is definitely noticeable and gives the solver much more control over the puzzle and ultimately leads to a better solving experience!

This puzzle features an extra set of GES nuts: yellow, blue, and purple.

The Standard version does not include the extra GES.

AKA: GAN251 M, GAN251M

Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Decent 2x2

For $30, this comes out to a pretty good cube. For me personally, it doesn't fully top the MGC, but it's more durable. After putting in several hundred solves, a few observations/recommendations I have for this are 1.) The yellow nuts are seriously the way to go, as it's the only way I can make the cube feel fairly stable. That being said, 2.) Corner twists are abundant on this cube. I'm not sure if it's because my turning style would make expert 2x2 solvers cry, but I get a corner twist maybe 1 out ten solves, which feels to be a little much, given the price tag. 3.) The matte plastic is not ideal. When looking for a new 2x2, I wanted something larger so as to get a bit of a better grip. The matte plastic feels a little slippery still, even after breaking it in (to the point where the GAN logo is almost completely faded). This may be a whatever point, but with dry hands, like those I and others get in the winter, this cube feels very slippery, and makes me wish GAN went with a glossy finish. Overall, this cube is something I would recommend, especially for a cube where you're learning algs or doing more casual solving, but in speedsolving, there is very likely a better option

AMAZING CUBE!

This cube is very good! It is able to corner cut, and it is very fast. The magnets are just perfect to have an awesome experience. I overall recommend this cube, as it is one of my favorite 2x2s. I rate it 9.75/10.

Good Cube

This cube was a little fast and uncontrollable. I personally will stick with my MGC elite and I think the cube is a little overpriced, but over all it is decent.

good cube, but a bit expensive

It has a satisfying sandy feel and the shades are great. a bit expensive so if you are looking at this id go for the YJ MGC elite 2x2.

Best 2x2 ever

I think this 2x2 is the best but the gan logo was faded on mine

Great cube!

The matte finish makes a slippery start, but the cube breaks in quickly and gets grippy right where you hold it. Since I have larger hands, the bigger 251 along with the stronger magnets make for a great turning experience! I highly recommend this cube!

Good but...

After using this cube for two days it has become my main, however I have two problems with it. First is the ges are extremely hard to change please help me know how to pull it out of the cube.second it does cornercut well but corner twists are very easy. I hear the stickered version is different so I’ll have to try that.

Fun, but expensive.

It is the most expensive 2x2’s on the market, but it lives up to that title.
