Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Make your Meilong even better!

The Meilong v2 is surprisingly good. It's a budget cube that's very fast, and the small size compared to other 7x7s makes it much more manageable. But it's still a 7x7 and bigger than all my other big cubes, and combined with the fast speed I felt like I wanted a more controllable feel. That's exactly what this core magnet kit does.

Now on to the installation process. I found no instructions or video from The Cubicle beyond what's in the product description. I'd appreciate even one line saying "Go watch Ethan Cho's video." But seriously, go watch Ethan Cho's youtube tutorial---it's really good. I wasn't sure whether I needed to glue the ballcore on, but I later saw that one side was coming loose so I went back and glued it. There was also one corner magnet that fell out of the green housing that I needed to glue back in. It was otherwise pretty simple to install. Beware that if you disassemble the cube entirely, the corner-core magnets will make reassembly much more challenging, since the corners get pulled out of place. You'll have to build around one corner so that there's enough structure to keep it in place, as shown in Ethan Cho's video.

The magnetic strength of the ballcore is on the weak/subtle side due to the large distance between the magnets, but I like that because it maintains the light, fast turning feel. It's also versatile, since it's easy to strengthen the magnetic feel by stacking another magnet or two on top of the corner magnets (which I tried but later removed), while it would be rather difficult to weaken an overly strong ballcore.

Thanks for your review and the feedback. We're planning on making installation videos for most/all of the kits, but this is a very busy time of year so we haven't gotten to it yet. As for the magnet that fell out, we put glue both under and on top of every magnet, but I'll double check the enxt batch to make sure that there is enough glue.
