Product Description

The YJ MGC3 II is a magnetic 3x3 speed cube by YJ, and the update to the YJ MGC3. A magnetic cube 8 grams lighter than its predecessor, the MGC3 II comes this time in stickerless, making it accessible for more people. It is inherently faster than the V1 and has really good forward corner cutting.

Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Why so much hate?

I'll admit that I'm not the fastest (averaging 25 seconds) but SCR is much faster and likes it a lot. People hopped on the "MGC v2 sucks" bandwagon and still haven't gotten off. It's a great cube. A little slow but more than makes up in price, control, and corner cutting. Stop hating it if you haven't given it a decent try.

Disappointed

The corner caps pop so much that I can barley use this cube. Would love it if I could actually use it.

Such an underrated cube...

So, this cube is not that great out of the box. I loosen it because out of the box was pretty tight. I used the blue springs and lube with weight 5 in the core, gravitas and dnm. It was my fourth best cube in my collection. First is the Valk 3 Elite M, second is the GAN 356 XS, third is MoYu Weilong WR M 2020. I was happy about it. I’m not fastest but not slow, I’m sub 20 cuber, and mgc v2 is good for me

Don't buy it

This cube is not good. It locks up, is way too slow for me, pops, and the corner tiles fall off. The slow controllability may suit some people, but not me. Also, it does not respond well to lube. It either goes very slow and gummy, of faster and then slow and gummy. I cannot find a good setup for it. One good thing is that it has a buttery smooth feel, which I do like. However, I still would not recommend it.

GREAT CUBE! MY NEW MAIN!!!

I got this cube a while ago and OOTB it wasn't the best. It was unstable, uncontrollably fast and popped constantly. i switched to the blue (stronger) springs and it was way more controllable. i set it up with weight 5 on the core and mystic+DNM37 on the pieces and now it is good enough to be my main. if you put in the effort and 5 minutes of your time to set it up, its worth it. anyone who says it constantly catches and is way too slow or uncontrollably fast is just lazy. i would also like to tell you that my tps is around 4-7 so whoever said that only slow tps would like this cube is wrong. i absolutely love this cube and would easily recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing speedcube.

Honestly, i despise this cube so much for ruining the MGC lineup, but ill be a bit nice, i guess.

Ahhhh, the good old MGC collection of cubes. Probably the best magnetic budget cube of all time. I have the MGC 2x2, 3x3 v1, 3x3 v2, and am about to get the MGC Mega. I had such high hopes for this cube, and it just disappointed me a lot. The first MGC was SOOO good, and unique, but this thing is the opposite of all of that. The only good thing is that it comes in stickerless, and has sort of cool spring swapping potential. OOTB it weirdly smelt like a restroom, which is not pleasant. It was so catchy and fast, that i had to slow it down, and whatever i did, the catchyness never left. I swapped the spring to the blue (Which is slow) and its better now, but still pretty trash. It actually looks pretty cool though, and the internals are pretty ok, but the original MGC internals are in my books as the best. I dont know how YJ undelivered THAT bad. Just get the original MGC please. You'll even save a bit of money. If you dont like stickered cubes, get an RS3M or something. Just avoid this cube, and never mention it ever again.

This cube is awesome, just give it time.

So I got the sticker less variant of the cube maybe a week ago, and out of the box, it was mediocre at most. The speed was slightly slow and the tensions were pretty tight, giving it a corner cutting and catching problem. Later on, I added some gravitas and loosened the tensions a bit, switching out the medium springs with blue. The cube now turns very well with no sign of catching and is now my main, over the Valk Power M. I recommend getting this cube under the mindset that this cube won’t be good to start, but will eventually become an incredible and enjoyable-to-solve puzzle.

Okay

It's fine for the price but alittle disappointed.its has decent control but get caught up a little but the worse things is that the corner prices always fly out even when you not even speed solvin

The corner caps

This is an overall good cube except for one thing: piece pops. When I say piece pops I don't mean that the piece actually comes out (which it does sometimes), I mean that part of the corner piece comes flying off any time i do an m u/u' move. It is really annoying. I do not recommend you get this as your main unless you want to have to deal with these crappy piece pops all the time.
