LBL Designs SteVin 4x4

Product Description

The LBL Designs SteVin is a Vin Cube 4x4 with magnets in the corner and edge feet to stabilize the outer layers without introducing the inconsistencies that result from using core magnets on even-layered cubes. This addition of magnets turns an already great cube into what we believe is the best 4x4 on the market.

This puzzle is lubricated with a combination of Angstrom Gravitas and XMT-10, further enhancing the cube's tactile feel. The puzzle comes with a removable logo to make 4BLD more accessible.

Stanley Chapel broke the 4x4 Blindfolded world record mean with a prototype of this cube.

LBL Designs is a collaboration between The Cubicle, Steven Wintringham and Pedro Jacinto.

Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

After 12 years of cubing I finally enjoy 4x4

The turning on this puzzle is so satisfying. I never seriously practiced 4x4 before this but the SteVin just feels so nice to turn I can’t put it down. The added modifications make the puzzle feel very stable and consistent when turning. I’ve found that I rarely lock up with this puzzle. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys 4x4, or anyone who doesn’t like their current hardware.

BEST 4x4 in the market & improved Vin 4x4

Used to main the Aosu WRM since it released but picked up an Angstrom Vin 4x4 which, after some adjusting to the tensions and break-ins I got similar times but my average time was better (avg-52 seconds)

Issue with the normal Vin was that 3xe stability/locking Especially with accidently misaligning the middle layers during 3x3 step. Saw this version fixes that issue.

Bought the LBL version and omg are the 3x3 stages so much better! This was a much needed improvement on an already amazing cube. New avg with this version I'm down to 49 seconds which is PR :)

Highly recommend this over the normal Vin!

Best 4x4 hands down

Long time MGC 4x4 user here. As soon as the Vin came out it was an easy upgrade, and was honestly a bit skeptical when I heard about it getting another mod, but the SteVin is SOO good. It comes not only with the extra magnets but also with a great lube set up. Very hard to put down, actually makes me want to practice 4x4 again! Highly recommended.

Amazing 4x4!

It's fast and a bit uncontrallable, but I got used to it after 300 solves. It made me perform better for sure (sub-50). It also has a slightly scratchy feel.

The best 4x4

New main. From the box a bit uncontrollable and some lube was on the cube, but the turning of the cube is great.

easily my new main

i also have a stock Vin 4x4, and this is a massive upgrade. set a new pr of 2:15 with it barely broken in at a comp last Saturday. attached is a pic of it with my other 4x4s and other Cubicle puzzles

Best 4x4 EVER!!!

I have been using the MGC 4x4 for the longest time and have been averaging like high 50's on that cube. When I got this new SteVin 4x4 mod, I dropped times to around high 40's. The does require a lot of break in time from what i've seen, but once it has been broken in, you will have blast using this cube. I would highly recommend this whether you have the original Vin, or another 4x4 like the MGC or AoSu WRM.

Easy main

Great puzzle. Crunchy stable yet fast. I love it. If you have the money and are looking to splurge this is a fantastic cube.

really nice 4x4, cant find anything to critique

This 4x4 turns really nicely, the feel is not too different from the mgc but its a lot faster and and more stable at the same time, which the extra magnets help with. i really enjoy solving on this 4x4, its good for speedsolving and for bld solving as well. I've gotten a 27 ao5 on it, which is pretty decent for me, and i think the magnet strength is perfect. definitely recommend this puzzle if you are interested in having a ballcore-like performing 4x4.
