Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Too stiff

This square one moves just as good as a rubix cube and Is not good

Myself
Not for speedcubing

This is not a bad cube, but the up and down faces don't turn very well. When I solve it, I have the impression of solving a product of the rubik's brand, I don't say it's horrible, but I can't solve it fast.

Mf8 Square 1 V2

Out of the box, its ok. The slice is perfect but the top and bottom halves are sluggish. It corner cuts great! Pops aren't as bad as the cubing community makes it seem.

How to Setup:
Break in top and bottom halves for 2 to 4 days.
Remove stickers.
Lube it with one of the following: Weight 1, 2, Lubicle Speedy, Maru, or Traxxas 10k.
Resticker it with better shades.

A good intermediate square-1

This cube is very good if you make florian cuts like the qiyi however it is not as good as a qiyi but it is good for beginner to intermediate level but I can only recommend it if you are not average sub 15sec but overall pretty good square-1

Like a corn kernel

When I first got this cube, it was TERRIBLE. The slices were fine, but the U/D faces were really, really, really bad. They were the slowest thing on a cube I've ever felt. I put some Lubix on the core and pieces and broke it in a bit, and it was a bit better. The U/D faces weren't painful at least. With some more breaking in, the U/D faces were still a little gummy, but otherwise the puzzle was great. Except...
POPS.
I got a pop every solve before I tightened it, and even with the cube extra-tight, I still get a pop once in about every average of 12.
This is a decent SQ1, but there are plenty of better/cheaper ones to buy.

This cube. I bought this when it first came out. It was terrible out of the box but with some lube and breaking it turned pretty well. It was fast on the slice and very controllable on the layers. The main gripes I have about this cube are these:

-pops frequently
-caps fall off all the time, I had to super glue them
-plastic is very brittle. In the first week I had it an edge peice broke. Super glued it. Stopped cubing for a good year and a half and the grabbed it again recently as I started speedcubing again. As I was lubing it with my Lubicle Speedy, I realized that a corner piece was on the edge of breaking, put it back in carefully and didn't mind. Today, I was doing some solves on it and it slipped from my hands. It exploded. When I was about to put it back together, I realized that the track of the core where the corners and edges connect to had broke. On one half it completely broke off and on the other side of the slice I could see a crack about an inch long and another one on the other layer.

In conclusion, I can't really recommend this cube. If you be careful of not dropping it, it might survive but honestly I have no idea where the core cracks could have come from. I might buy a new one collection wise and maybe to compare it to others since I am now getting a Calvin's Square 1.

I like it as a puzzle. Quality not-so-great. Pops sometimes, but it's not too hard to fix.

This cube is so-so. The slice is awesome, but the top and bottom layers are really hard to turn. I was kinda disappointed when I got it, but, overall, I think it is a three star cube.

Out of the box, this puzzle was so awful. the slice was good but that doesn't matter if you can hardly turn the top and bottom layers. I tried breaking it in and that did next to nothing. Then, I put Maru lube it it, and it made it much much better, but I can already feel the lube wearing off. Perhaps some other lubix style lube will work after it does. Overall, even with the lube, This square 1 is not very good compared to others I have tried which were Mf8 v1's (this is v2) or cubetwists.

I love this Square1.
If you lube it, it is even better
