Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Fast, easy to use cube

Granted its my first speed cube, but its exactly what I thought it would be. Light, easy to handle, smooth and fast.

Great Cube for Beginners

This cube is great. I’ve had it for 8 months and with no lube it still works like it did when I first took it out of the box

YJ YuLong V2 M vs. MoYu RS3 M 2020 vs. DaYan GuHong V4 M

A review of a nice sample of budget cubes, current prices $7.99, $9.99 (w/magnet kit), and $14.99 respectively.

After adjusting and lubing to my preferred state, here are my observations:

Corner cutting: Almost identical, the DaYan may have a TINY bit more reverse corner cutting.

Speed: YJ slowest, DaYan fastest, but your lube can change that somewhat.

Weight: YJ 88 grams, MoYu 87 grams, DaYan 65 grams.

Color: DaYan colors are slightly more saturated, except the yellow looks more orange compared to the other two, and the white is a cool white and the other two use a
warm white.

Sound: MoYu may be the loudest, but not by much. It has more spring noise. DaYan is the quietest.

Feel: YJ has the best quality "feel" (subjective, of course). MoYu finish is frosted, but it becomes smooth before long.

Magnets: DaYan seems to be the strongest, the other two less so.

Miscellaneous: MoYu pieces will separate a bit along the edges occasionally, but it's very little and not a detriment.
MoYu has an adjustment system, but it's used so infrequently it's of no consideration, unless it's important to you to have it.
DaYan cube faces show the most sink from the reinforcing ribs (molding issue). If the face thickness was increased or the pack and hold times in the
injection molding process were optimized, it would improve the appearance. But it makes no difference in performance.
YJ corner twists the easiest, though if you tighten it a bit it isn't a big problem. The other two are quite good at not twisting.

Conclusion: First of all, the best speedcubers could sub 10 on any of these all day every day, that's how good these cubes are.
However, they're freaks, so most people won't be able to do that.
The typical person will be held back more by his technique than by his choice of cube, and if you are sub 15, any of these cubes should be fine.
However, once you improve your technique as much as you can within genetic and practice time limitations, your cube can help you eke out that last little bit
of time you're looking for.
And perhaps around the 10 second mark or so you may be ready to try something a bit more expensive to see if it'll help.
Of course you may always be able to improve you time by getting a more expensive cube earlier, but if you're reading this you're looking for a budget cube
anyway, and any of these will suffice for a long time. Trust me, for the most part your cube isn't holding you back -- if you have one as good as one of
these.

Preferences: YJ feels the best in your hand, but the MoYu is only 25% more expensive and you get fewer corner twists.
If you like fast and crisp turning and snappy magnets, the DaYan is quite nice at 90% more expensive than the YJ.

Recommendation: Really none of these are bad and we're splitting hairs to rank them, but here goes:
YJ is the budget pick
MoYu is the best buy
DaYan is the best overall.

Best budget magnetized 3x3

Bought for my 4th grade students. All they need until they can solve in under 30 seconds. I have bought several.

Excellent budget starter speed cube

I give away a lot of cubes at competitions. To kids who have a main, but not a backup cube. To moms and dads who are interested in learning. And I always give away this particular cube because it's inexpensive enough that I can do this without it costing me too much, and because for the price it's actually a pretty nice cube. It turns just fine, and is magnetic. I would expect anybody who gets serious to upgrade to something better, of course, but as an entry-level option it's hard to beat. Also: if you do multiblind and need your cubes to all feel the same, this cube has the performance to handle blind solving without any problems, and is cheap enough that you can get however many you need without breaking the bank.

Great Corner Cutting!

The YJ Yulong version 2 magnetic cube is really good out of the box(there's nothing wrong with it at all). When I timed it it was even better than one of my favourite cubes(gan 365 Rs). I definitely recommend this for speed cubers who are starting out!

A really nice cube for the price!

This is really hard to beat for the price. Corner cuts well and very smooth right out of the box. Gives some of my flagship GAN cubes a run for their money at a fraction of the price. Highly recommended!
