Product Description

The YJ YuPo 2x2 is now available! Officially released under the YongJun name, the YuPo comes at an attractive price point, yet it is expected to outperform the existing 2x2s in its price range. It features Florian-style holes for greater corner cutting freedom, and it turns smoothly right out of the box.

Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

A steal

Thw first thing I said when I turned it was “this is not worth 6 dollars. The cube feels almost too smooth and while the corner cutting isn’t great, I never overshoot. U2 flicks take a lot of force.

This cube just came good out of the box. It doesn’t need lubed and I’ve done about 150 solves and it still feels the way it did out of the box, amazing. I bought two cubes and one of them was SUPER loose so I had to tighten it.

Downsides: the sticker less shades are the most ugly thing I’ve ever seen. The tutorial is impossible to understand (though you probably won’t need it) The logo is just a sticker, not actually a part of the cube, this was very useful though, seeing as I have 2 cubes.

If your a new cuber or just want a speedcube and your on a budget, this cube is for you. I’ve tried 10+ dollar cubes before, and they feel the same as this... after you lube and tighten and break them in.

Buy a WeiPo instead!

It's ok. not bad, not good. Locks up. I have a WeiPo (the best 2x2) but with some silk it is smooth.

Great Cube!

Out of the box the cube was very smooth and with about 15-20 solves the cube was broken in quite well. It was my second 2x2 and it is what I learned most of my 2x2 skills on. For the great price comes an even better cube. The only thing I didnt like about this cube was the tensions out of the box. I had to loosen my tensions just a touch to get it to what I prefer, which is not a very difficult process. Also, pops and corner twists are almost non-existent during a solve. Overall, this cube is a very good cube for a very low price.

Great Budget 2x2

This was my first 2x2. It was very smooth out of the box, and it became even smoother after lubing it with Maru. This cube really is a joy to solve on, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice budget 2x2.

Great Puzzle

This 2x2 is really wonderful! It is somewhat smooth and crunchy and is now my new main. If you are learning 2x2 I really recommend this for you. Corner cutting is nice, yet not 45 degrees. The only thing about this cube is that it was tight out of the box, but besides that I love it.

Not Too Shabby

I ended up getting this in transparent stickerless because I liked the looks of my old Rubik's Ice Cube, but the ice cube was horrendous and I must have broke the little delicate pegs on the core at least 4 times. So getting this was sort of like an upgrade to a novelty cube. After all, transparent cubes aren't legal for WCA competitons anyway. Needless to say it blows away the ice cube. But a bit lacking in comparison to other 2x2s.

It turns very smoothly with no lockups or popping whatsoever no matter how crazy I get with turning it. The sound is medium in loudness with a clacky sound on corner cuts. I think this is because of the hollowness of the pieces. Corner cutting is a bit below 45 degrees after some loosening from factory tensions and about 1/5 of a piece in reverse. I would bet it's because of the springs due to them being rather stiff. You could change the springs of course though. Color quality of the transparent stickerless depends on the lighting. In low light situations, it can be quite difficult to tell the yellow from the white. But in good lighting there should be no issue discerning colors from each other.

One thing mine had that I bet yours won't is a deep scratch across two pieces of the orange face I can actually feel with my fingers. At first I thought it was cracked based on the appearance of it, but nope. It must have happened during manufacturing somewhere as the box had no such damage. It doesn't affect performance in the slightest of course, but why it is there to begin with I don't know. I did some sanding and polishing to get it out as best I could. Though needless to say I'll never get it to look like the other faces. But it does sort of bug me. Perhaps I should have contacted The Cubicle about it back when I got it, but I felt it may have been sort of petty to ask them to ship just two orange replacement corner caps.

Great budget cube

This cube is great, but the corner cutting is only 45 normal and 1/5 reverse. It's basically a cheaper lingpo and the speed is ok. One problem I have with this is that it can catch up a lot, unlike the dayan and the lingpo. But with that being said, I still think that this is a great cube. Just like the lingpo, this cube never popped, and I don't think it ever will. It feels smooth and i little heavy, which I like. 85/100

Transparent is the way to go

I got this cube mainly because I badly needed a new 2x2, (anything is better than a Rubik's), and because it came in transparent. I did not plan for this to be my main, and was expecting to get a better one soon, but WOW! It was better than I had anticipated.
Although very dry out of the box, with some standard silicone lube in the mechanism and breaking in, it became very smooth. There is a spring noise in the core, which can be fixed with some heavy lube, but the screws are terribly tight, and I couldn't get them to budge so I just didn't. Corner-cutting is almost 45 degrees forward and about half a piece reverse.
I had initially thought that the translucent colors would mess up my recognition, but I actually have little problem with it. The shades contrast well, and being colorblind, I appreciated the dark green instead of a fluoro green (which would have been too close to yellow for me). The puzzle looks very nice, and the internals are completely clear.

PROS
-Looks very nice
-Shades contrast well
-smooth
-decent corner-cutting

CONS
-Dry out of box
-Minor catching and locking
-screws extremely tight

But honestly, for $4, I can't complain.

Instant main

This cube is amazing and was an instant main after setup. Out of the box the cube is very smooth and fast but is slightly dry. After I lubed it with some weight 5 on the hardware and some lubicle regular on the pieces, it was the perfect cube for me. I've broken my PB multiple times on this, and my times have improved by an average of a full .3 seconds (went from 2.1 to 1.8). I would greatly recommend this 2x2 to anyone who is looking for an AMAZING cube at a great price.

Amazing

Out of the box this cube was a pretty controllable I broke it in and it corner cut 45 for forwards and 1/4 a piece backwards I but dnm37 and Traxxas 30 k in the screws and it was amazing it was very fast pretty controllable but after having for a month or two a corner broke :c and that was my only 2x2
