Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

(Ball Core UV version)

I don’t have the standard to compare it to, but the cube itself out of the box feels great. A little dry, but nothing lube can’t fix. I prefer not lubing it as I like the way it already feels though. All preference.

It came pretty tight I reckon to avoid the problem of it popping like the standard— The UV coating feels nice— It doesn’t feel cheap at all. I love it just as much as I love my Vin 4x4.

I highly recommend if you want a mini 4x4— for small hands, collectibles or for travelling purposes!

Linked a pic comparing it to a regular 56mm 3x3 (gan 12) and the Vin 4x4

Not what it used to be (+ potential fix for reported turning and popping issues)

I had the original version when it came out around 2020, and at the time I thought it was the best 4x4 on the market (and still is), so much so that I've used it as my main 4x4 despite its comically miniature size for my hands, so I was extremely excited to try the ball core version.

Unfortunately it seems with time, wear of the injection molds, plastic being used, quality control, or any number of probable factors related to the cube itself, it just doesn't have the same magic as the original batches. The cube was extremely hard to turn initially, and had some very uncharacteristic catches, and for whatever reason the plastic didn't seem to respond well to whatever lubricant I used even after a thorough break-in. When I took the cube apart though, I noticed many of the screws were straight-up not aligned with the core. They were crooked by at least a full degree, and I found the only real remedy was to take the screws back out and screw them back in manually as straight as possible. And it turns out doing this solved most of my issues, which was a relief, but also underlined my whole disappointment with the cube in general, because this much setup to make a cube perform well shouldn't be necessary for any cube, and really is a disservice to the designer of this cube, because if the factory workers were provided with the means to put the pieces together right the first time, the overall product would be much more successful. After I fixed the screws though, the end result was not necessarily bad, the increase in auto-alignment from the ball-core was noticeable, but not enough overall to make me switch from my original.

Summary for possible turning and popping fix:

- Take a misaligned screw out and screw it back in carefully to ensure proper alignment (repeat for all 6 screws).
- Use tighter than factory tensions (corner cutting will improve up to a certain point).
- Lubricate properly.

Pops really easily

Honestly this was a waste of money, just spend $5 more and get the MGC. This cube turns like crap and pops way too easily
