Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

I honestly don't know what to expect from a 4x4, and I don't plan on doing 4x4 as an event. However, I like the sandy feel of this cube and seems to corner cut well for a 4x4. I don't know why this was discontinued.

Very Fluid, But Too Unstable

After tensioning it from the factory stock setting, I'm about to cut a whole piece on most sides (more on this in a bit). Reverse cutting is about 1/5 of a piece. As a result, I can turn the cube quite fluently chaining moves together like no other big cube I own. I would describe the turning feel as crunchy, yet smooth, which is a weird combo to even say. It's like the pieces make a lot of noise while turning, yet don't have much vibration. But it makes no difference while solving. The layer tightness balance is very nice in that the outer layers are slightly looser than the inner layers. Which makes stuff like H and Z perms on the 3x3 stage with middle slices impressively controllable as usually they tend to separate and make you lock up by misalignment. For the colors, I got it in stickerless pink and you can easily tell the colors apart from each other even in low lighting.

What this cube falters on though is stability. When you try and cut an outer layer a half piece or more after turning a middle layer, it'll pop. It does so consistently. It's always a small inner layer piece, but it may also pull out a center or an edge with it. The centers or edges are not difficult to put back in, but the inner layer pieces are, making any pop basically a solve killer. Tightening the tensions does not improve pop prevention either, it just makes corner cutting worse. Since it takes so little imprecision to pop it, chances are it'll pop fairly frequently, which is unfortunate because it otherwise is awesome.

If the cube gets another revision and they fix the issue, it would be quite a contender. But this one is "meh" because of the popping.

I like it

Out of the box, it was really dry and sandy. It locks up a lot. However, it got better, with setting up. By lubing the pieces and hardware, loosing the puzzle not to much, and breaking in the puzzle with solves. The only reason why it doesn’t get a full 5 Stars is because it feels similar to a Guansu. If you already have one, then there is no purpose. Give it a try and see how to you like it.

not the best

This cube is good for beginners but when you move on from beginning with 4x4. This cube gets old and noisy when used a lot. Mine is almost a year old and I feel like I could smash it against the concrete of my driveway from my roof. If you are just starting out than this is for you, but if you need a fast cube go with something else.

Okay look.

I got the transparent version, and part of that version is having a clear core, and that core constantly pops and it is so hard to get back together without popping the rest of the cube. BUT the black, white and reg. sticker-less versions are probably better. I PERSONALLY will not get another, as my new main is the MoFang JiaoShi MF4S, but I guess i got a bad sample. :)

Good for beginners, not for speed solving

This cube was good until I started to speed solve it regularly. This cube pops fairly regular and at a bit looser than stock tensions with a bit of maru lube. Overall a nice cube for beginners, but anything past that it is irrelevant.

GET YUXIN 5x5 SPRINGS.

I've had this cube for about a year straight, and out of the box I thought it was amazing; it turned quickly and accurately with minimal need for corrections. With greater use, however, it started to have inner pieces pop left and right, and the tensions started to loosen. Tighter tensions, while adding stability, would render it much slower and have zero lenience with corner cutting. With this, I decided to shelf it in exchange for my Yuxin Blue.

Recently, I bought two sets of Yuxin 5x5 Springs for my Yuxin Red 6x6, and a couple of Thunderclap springs for other cubes in my collection. On a whim, I decided to put Thunderclap springs in this cube - HORRIBLE idea. Thunderclap springs are both shorter and softer than the stock springs in the Yuxin, making it necessary to tighten the cube far beyond what's usable for any level of stability. Do NOT use Thunderclap springs.

To rectify such, I placed the leftover Yuxin 5x5 Springs in the Cube, lubed weight 3 on the core, and a mixture of DNM-37 & Speedy on the pieces, and this easily competes with my Yuxin Blue. The cube feels almost exactly like an Aosu now, and it is still half the price when adding custom stickers and springs.

Highly recommended for those who want:

A) Maximum Performance for considerable price
B) The challenge & experience of swapping springs and really making a cube your own

*4 star rating simply because dissassembly & maintenance are necessary for maximum performance.

Out of the box, this cube was very scratchy and kind of unstable. It was sort of loud, but with Maru lube and Z-Lube, this cube became slightly slower and smother, which I enjoyed. This quickly became my main with lots of break in over the YJ Guansu. I also have the Maru 4x4, but that was very blocky and this was not. Overall, this cube is a cheap pick-up for beginning 4x4 cubers and I would recommend it to everyone.

Iffy

Let's just say before I had this, my 4x4 was a Rubik's. This was WAY BETTER than that. In my opinion though, when I took it out of the box, it was kind of tight and catched, the corner cutting wasn't very good and I had a few pops. The center layers still are harder to turn even after I applied lube.
For the price, I was happy with it though. I really like the color scheme and with some love I made it decent. Is my main for now, but looking for another that fits my style.
