Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Good, but a few issues.

I got this megaminx a long time ago for Christmas before I knew about speedcubes and stuff like that. The tiles have lasted years without any noticeable damage. People say this puzzle is really bad, but I disagree. I lubed it with Traxxas 50k on the core and pieces, and it is actually pretty fast. it can do U2s or even U3s in one flick. It is also very smooth and quiet.
the corner cutting is over 36 degrees (36 degrees is the same as 45 degrees on a normal cube like a 3x3, half a turn). The reverse corner cutting is about 1/2-2/3 of a cubie, but reverse cutting takes some effort, and that causes some slight catching while solving. If you corner cut more than this puzzle's abilities, it can lockup or pop, but since the corner cutting is so good, this isn't much of a problem. Don't put the cube on tight tensions because it pops. The pops are rare and require a lot of inaccurate turning, so there is no need to sacrifice performance to get rid of them.

Awesome Mega.

I own the MoYu YuHu, Dayan, and this. I prefer this. You get the odd lock up but I prefer it to the Dayan because it is more stable.
I highly recommend trying it because I don't think this puzzle is given a real chance.
It does have a poor performance out of the box but adjust the tensions and you are good to go.

Just dont buy it.

Save yourself the money. I've been learning on this megaminx, since my brother bought it and I have my shengshou coming in the mail. Its served its purpose, i've learned the megaminx, but solves that should take 5-10 minutes take upwards of 20-30. Its not because im new at megaminx- this cube is just bad. My brother had it insanely tight- so i gave this cube the benefit of the doubt. I loosened it, substantially, and its still preforming the same, except now it pops. It locks up, you have to align all 5 pentagons around the one you're trying to move PERFECTLY. Even if they are all aligned, it STILL does NOT TURN. Do not buy this megaminx, it's very bad. Also, the tiles are very off- they arent centered at all. Some colors like the orange, the tiles are very thin and you can see where the plastic is so thin you can see through the tile, making awkward black swirls in some tiles.

please don't buy this cube. this has the slowest turning in the world, a pretty bad color scheme and almost no corner cutting. even after applying wt 1 lube on this I still couldn't speed cube it. please get a dayan or a shengshou

Review

I was really disappointed with this cube. It is far inferior to a Dayan, or even to earlier mf8 versions.

I originally got this puzzle to put the tiles on my mefferts megaminx. I quickly realized that even right out of the box, the V3 is far superior to that of the V2. The MF8v3 and Mefferts are my two best megaminxs now. Turning is excellent. Finger tricks are easier with the tiles. I have yet to have a pop on this puzzle.
