Product Description

The MoYu AoLong GT is now available! The AoLong GT is the latest version of the highly successful MoYu AoLong V2 cube. It features various improvements aimed at greater stability, reduced corner twisting, and an overall superior speedcubing experience.

The MoYu AoLong GT is also available in many additional colors that were previously not available on MoYu 3x3s, including Teal, Grey, and Brown.

Stock Color Scheme: The MoYu AoLong GT features a new color scheme that is different from MoYu's typical color scheme. The colors are more similar to the stock sticker shades on the DaYan/ShengShou (as well as Gans) cubes now. The change was made exclusively for the AoLong GT since the designers didn't like the feel of the thicker MoYu stickers on the AoLong GT.

Note: This DIY Kit actually comes assembled but without any stickers (stock stickers + logo are included with the DIY Kit). This is ideal for someone who plans to resticker the cube anyway and doesn't want to take time removing the stickers.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Corner cutting is pretty bad for me

Fast but dry out of the box cause it Unstickered

TL;DR at the bottom. If you decide to get this cube unstickered, be prepared for some setting up. Out of the box this cube is very dusty feeling. It wasn't on the outside, but felt like there were layers upon layers of dust inside. This cube was slow and corner cut very poorly. I did about 50 solves (or maybe 100) and couldn't stand it. After taking the cube apart completely, lubing the core, this cube became much better. it no longer had the dust feeling, but still was slow. After lubing the pieces this cube became great, it requires relubing from time to time as the constant friction from no tracks wears the lube away though. Be ready to use lots of lube over this cubes lifetime. TL;DR Have a lot of lube to constantly setup. This requires setup to be good.

Perfect Cube with a dreadful first impression

Out of the box for the DIY unstickered, the GT was horrid. Corner cutting was sub 30 degrees and reverse cutting was half a piece. The speed can only be described as original Rubik`s-esque The cube was dry, sandy, and locked up like it was its job. I was determined to not give up on it, so I modded it, lubed it, and re-set the tension of the cube to my liking. For the mod, I filed down the squared off corners slightly. After breaking down the cube and doing all of the above, the cube became incredibly fast, smooth, crispy, and the corner cutting rivaled the Aolong V1. The corners of my cube are still square, they are just not sharply square anymore. Maybe my out of the box cube experience was just really unlucky, but after making some adjustments this cube is now my main. I would easily rate this 5 stars if not for the poor out of the box experience.
