Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Bad at first, then good (after spring swap) but has a minor issue

(BTW I did not buy this from the cubicle)

Out of the box, it was okay. However, it was way too slow (even after lubing it with fast lubes). I had a look at the springs and realized that they were very strong (way too strong for this cube in my opinion). I see why they want to slow it down (as it's for beginners) but for intermediate cubers like me (I average 16/17 seconds) it increases the chance of muscle cramping due to the friction on the pieces requiring more energy to make each turn (sorry for the Physics!).

I did eventually find a solution. My MoYu Weilong GTS3 was still pretty flimsy even on the tightest spring compression setting (if you look at my recent review on it, you'll know why. Hint: look at where I talk about how much my cube was worn out). I decided to spring swap them and it made both cubes way better. The guanlong v3 was now fast and controllable and the instability issue of my GTS3 was resolved with the guanlong v3 springs.

Overall, I am really impressed with the guanlong v3 after the spring swap and it's totally worth it if you have a the short springs from the WR/M or the ones in the GTS3M.

However, the reason I deducted a star was because it's really easy to cornertwist. Other that that, it's great!

Nice beginner budget cube

If you're on a budget and looking for a decent speed cube, this is definitely a good choice. The cube is quick and smooth however not very stable. Its corner cutting is also not the best however does do an okay job considering the price. Overall the cube is a good choice if you are starting out.

Amazing for the price!

For only $4, the performance of this cube is great. It's way better than the Guanlong and the Guanlong Plus.

I bought this cube for experimental setup purposes. OOTB, this cube was decently fast and has a scratchy feel. I like the scratchiness. This cube reminds me of the Shengshou Fangyuan V1. I did some solves with this cube and I got some sub-20 averages and singles. Forward corner-cutting can happen at 45 degrees and reverse is alright; it can reverse corner-cut at 1/2 of a piece. The stickers have decent quality, but the shades are a bit too dark for my preference.

I set this up with Lubicle Black on the core, Angstrom Gravitas on the tracks, Angstrom Dignitas on the base of the piece, and 3 drops of Compound V. This made the cube very smooth while retaining the scratchiness. The cube now smells like candy cane because of Compound V. It can now corner-cut over 45 with ease and near line-to-line for reverse. This setup made the cube's performance similar to a set-upped MF3RS2.

The downside of the cube is it has the old design. I got some corner-twist around once every 50 solves, which for me isn't a huge issue.

I enjoyed playing with this cube!

Smooth and Stable

I bought this along with the Guanlong Plus. The Plus was scratchy and fast while the V3 is a bit slower and stable. Both a great budget cubes.

Decent cube for its price

Out of the box this cube was insanely fast and scratchy. I've lubricated it with Weight 3 on the core and pieces and its slowed down. The scratchiness has also gone away. The only issue is that now the cube is too slow for my liking and I wish I could speed it up. Cornertwisting is an issue though as it cornertwists all the time even at reasonable tensions. This cube is not good and I would not recommend it. If they create a version that does not cornertwist, I would recommend this cube.
