Product Description

The GAN 356 i2 is GAN’s latest update to its successful 3x3  smart cube, the GAN 356 i. Changes include faster charging time (2 hours), longer battery life, significantly longer standby time (60 days), and more storage!

The GAN 356 i2 utilises Bluetooth to pair with your Android or Apple device through GAN’s free app, ‘Cube Station’. This 3x3 speed cube is equipped with an internal gyroscope and full motion tracking, which work in tandem to give you statistics on each solve such as turns per second, rotations, and move count. This is a great cube if you want to time yourself, train, and battle other cubers worldwide!

The GAN 356 i2 is also compatible with the GAN ROBOT, a cubing robot that can scramble and solve your cube.

The cube itself features a brand new design with large internals and quick, crunchy feel. This cube definitely brings the best of both worlds between technology and performance.

Please note: In order to charge the puzzle, you must place it in the charging port with the white side facing up. All other configurations will not work. Returns accepted only if the product is unopened in its original packaging. Please be advised the Cube Station app may not be compatible with mobile operating systems outside of iOS and Android.

Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Thing works as expected

Is really cool to see the cfop breakdowns, I rotate 4x in cross than the rest of the solve.

However, the awesomeness of a connected cube is eclipsed by the Customer attention from the cubiclerks. This made my day.

Fun Electronic Cube

Very innovative cube. It handles really well and is surprisingly light. It connects to my phone perfectly through its app. I would say buy this if you’d like to practice and know exactly how long it took for you to solve (app stores your algorithms and saves your times). But don’t forget to get the Gan Robot as well. The Gan Robot works well with this cube. It scrambles and solves the cube whenever you’d like it to (just don’t forget to connect the cube and robot to your phone or the cube might not keep track of where all the pieces are and you’ll have to solve it yourself)

Awesome and it gets better and better

Comparing to last year when there were too many bugs, these days Gan 356 i is awesome. It still does not feel as nice as Gan 356 XS, but the online battles make it way more fun to play with. It’s the only cube I carry around with me. Also seeing your progress over time makes it more interesting and engaging. In short, I LOVE IT.

Me like!

I have had this cube for a couple weeks now. It has so far been everything I hoped it would be and I have gone from a 1:10.00 average to a 0:45.00 average already. The app is basic but there are other apps you can use with it. The Bluetooth is short range but it does not effect me much. It also does not read hard corner cutting in alg training even though it seems to do fine in 1v1 battles. Even took my PB from 0:41.00 to 0:33.36. It has a trainer function that will teach someone who does not know how to solve a cube in the app as well. If you want to learn all the way to becoming sub :30 or below, this thing is the right tool. More advanced solvers might check out other apps though.

Great cube

I got this cube about a week ago and already I got a new PB. It was great that you get to see all these different stats about your solve in personal training as well as racing against someone else online. The only problem I’ve had is with the app, twice now I’ve solved the cube and it didn’t recognize it as solved. Great cube overall though.

356i v2

I give the GAN 356i v2 3 stars because , it is not perfected. Normally I stay away from anything that relies on a smartphone and an app. The reason I purchased the 356iv2 is to use it with the GAN robot. Unfortunately the user needs to 'log in' in order to use the scramble function. I REALLY WISH that the designers of these things
would consider the option to use ALL functions not related to connectivity available WITHOUT having to log in. The cube it's self is well , ok , but not even close to
the feel and response to say the x,xs,air etc.. I greatly appreciate GAN bringing good new ideas to the cube community but this is still a work in progress.

Good cube!

I got this cube right when it came out because I wanted a Bluetooth cube and the i had just been discontinued. Overall it turns great, long battery life. The one thing is the app, it is not very good, but they are making a new one, good trainer cube, just finished learning CFOP with it. If you like cubing, this is hands down a good investment

I'm sure this is better than V1, and V3 will be even better

I like the cube, but it feels like this technology has a lot of room for improvement. The app is not intuitive, and I have to reset and manually tweak the cube orientation on every connection. The apps are promising, but not great, but I understand it does get updated often.

I do like the auto start and stop on solves, and the CFOP split times, but further details (by F2L slots) would be nice.

I have had no issues connecting the cube to the app on my iPhone. But I have had no success connecting it to a browser timer on my Windows 10 machine, and I don't know how to get any support from GAN to solve this issue.

The cube itself is good, not great. My cube is a bit too loose, even after swapping to the tighter springs, and I have the screws adjusted to the tightest position (there are only two possible positions). So my solves on this cube are slower than on my Moyu RS3 M or GTS3M.

If I had known all these things before I bought this cube, I would have probably still bought the Gan 356i... but probably the Play version. Even though the cube likely feels the same and uses the same app. It's still a fun toy, but I'm a bit disappointed in the gyro (considering the price difference). Every time I reset the orientation on my cube, then watch it drift to another face during my solves, I just learn to ignore it.

I love Bluetooth cubes, but...

Love this cube. It is a bit loose for me though. The app is both very good and very bad. Generally the app is sluggish but the content is pretty good. The bad part is that even the v2/i2 whatever still gets mixed up when you’ve solved the cube. From what I hear it’s better than the first one. Overall I’m very happy to have it. I also have the GoCube. I’d usually suggest to get the GoCube over this one. But if you want to use one to train and get faster I’d go with this Gan356 i2, even with the random DNFs.

Many bugs to fix

This cube is nice in turning but there are many bugs in app and the bug. The cube always needs to reset when using the app. It also pauses when solving. The gyroscope in the cube isn’t working properly. When the green side is facing me, in the app it is showing the red side even after resetting it and putting it in the green side. Not happy with the purchase.
