Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Newfound Square-N enthusiast who realized that this puzzle can do a lot of cool things

I only recently learned how to speedsolve Square-1, so I figured this would be the logical next step. I find the solution pretty simple: I just pair up the pointy corner pieces until they're like regular corners, then solve it like a regular Square-1. The turning on this is pretty smooth even out of the box, and although it's pretty dry-feeling I haven't lubed it yet so far. The slice isn't magnetic, which I don't mind. I'm not a super huge fan of how there's magnets in every single top and bottom layer piece, though, because you can just feel that cliclicliclicliclick with every turn and it sort of bothers me. However, Square-2 isn't a super competitive market so there aren't many other options you can go to.

Some fun things you can do with it:
-Literally any bandage mod you want: Since this cube has smaller "piece increments" than a Square-1, you can make a lot of fun bandage challenges. I taped every other piece together in the layers to make what I call a "Square-6" because it has 6 pieces per layer. I haven't been able to solve that particular challenge yet, but I peeled the tape off and invented a bunch of other cool things. You can also make a Square-0 where you bandage each full 60-degree corner with its adjacent edge (although this can be done on a regular Sq-1 too) or some sort of "Square-0 dino cube" where you stick together a 30-degree corner wedge with another edge piece and its opposing corner wedge, basically making it all edges.
-Flip the color scheme: You can intentionally put the corners together incorrectly so it seems like the top and bottom are flipped. For example, instead of making a corner with yellow on top, red on the left, and green on the right (how it would be normally) I can pair the corner wedges so that the red is on the right and green on the left. I do this with every corner in the cube and then flip the middle layer like how you can do it on a normal Square-1 so that two opposing sides are switched. The end result is a solved cube with the color scheme flipped.
-Anything else you can think of!
At first I thought this was going to be lame because it's just a Square-1 with spicy corners, but now I realize that there's no limit to what you can imagine with this cube!!!

Thanks for your review! We love hearing creative ways that people use their puzzles, and I may need to try some of these ideas on my Square-2.

It's quite a fun puzzle to solve if you know how to solve a Squan

I owned a Calvin's trash mod Square 2 before this, and it worked. Barely. It popped a lot, was really rough, and was louder than my neighbors' bed frame on a Thursday. But when this came out, I needed it. It turned like any budget square-1, and it works fine, but the magnets were not glued in WHY WERE THE MAGNETS NOT GLUED IN CORRECTLY ITS SO NOISY PSIOGHPODHLFGXCLGJBSLXKG:UHPTOSUHPOEYTPQUTHWDOS:JSOITH
But anyway, it's fun. Ignore the crap magnets for a second, and it's a fun and slightly more intuitive and still harder take on the Squan. Get it if you like Squan or are a masochist.

A lot of fun!

Turning is very nice and smooth. Might be harder than Square-1 but with the method I found I’m not sure. Since it allows for more moves it allows for new methods. Great quality and really fun!

Fun cube

Love it. If you can solve square 1 then get this. it's a fun challenge

It fell apart

I picked it up one day for a random solve before it completely fell apart in my hands. It turned smoothly and was not catching on anything before it just suddenly crumbled. I tried reassembling it to no avail. Also, the large rectangular caps in the middle layer were unremovable, so I couldn't check inside to see if the plastic parts holding onto the screw had frayed. So, it's broken. Well, that's something.

It broke very quickly

I was turning it and its just fell apart day 2 of having it.. i think it somehow unscrewed which it really shouldn’t. Its 2 star instead of 1 because its probably partially my fault or my specific cube and it was pretty fun before it broke

Amazing

I used to have the old Calvin's Square-2, and as much as I loved solving the puzzle, it was really bad for many reasons.

This new cube fixed it all: it's stable and hasn't popped on me ever, it turns wonderfully, the magnets are decent, albeit a little clicky and soft.
It basically is a speedcube, I've wanted to have a good square 2 for a while now so this cube was such a joy to finally have.

Cool looking puzzle. Very sandy.

I’m looking forward to solving this puzzle. It slices well, too well. You look at it the wrong way and it will slice. The top and bottom layers are very sandy. It had to be lubed to be usable, hence the 4 stars.

A good challenge

I finally learned how to solve the Square-1 after putting it off for a long time and it was more fun than I expected. So when I saw this version, I knew I had to try it. As expected, it was very similar to solving a Square-1 with a few extra moves thrown in. I was able to figure out the extra moves somewhat intuitively, but it's a little bit of trial-and-error so I'm trying to figure out an algorithm to solve it more efficiently.

Overall construction feels solid. The slice turning is super smooth but perhaps a bit too loose. The horizontal turns are decent, but you can feel the magnets as each piece turns past the slice layer which gives the turning a bit of a bumpy feeling. But since this helps make the slice turning a lot easier I think it's a worthwhile tradeoff.

Because you're not blocked by bandaging you can also do some patterns. Definitely worth getting.

Cheaply made

This cube does not move smoothly. It came apart withing an hour of opening the box, We were able to reassemble and glue the pin cap carefully back together, Definitely not as well built as other brands we have purchased at similar or better prices,
