Product Description

The Cyclone Boys 4x4 Speed-G4 is the second 4x4 from Cyclone Boys. This version is available in black plastic with stickers, and it measures just 60mm across. The design also appears to be more refined compared to the original Cyclone Boys 4x4. It comes lubricated from the factory, and it turns smoothly right out of the box.

Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Great for beginners

This cube is great out of the box. The only problem I have with it is that the inner layers are sluggish. Great Job Cyclone Boys!

Solid choice.

I wouldn't say it's godly out of the box, but after first turns I know this is going to be my main. The stickers aren't too good and I have yet to replace them though.

2 hours after solving on it, there was a pop. Pieces went everywhere! Did I mention I was solving on top of a 4-story building?

Luckily I was able to find all the pieces. To my surprise, not a single scratch or crack was present the pieces! They look like brand new!

After that happened, I know I must try something. So this very stupid idea popped up in my head, replacing the stock springs with QiYi Thunderclap (v1) springs! I also lubed it with a lot of weight 5, too!

Now I can spam my TPS on it without any risk of breaking. It's a pretty neat cube, but needs a lot of work, if you ask me!

OK beginner cube

The cyclone boys g4 is a pretty good cube for the price. The outer layers are amazing! They might even be better than my Guoguan Yuexiao 3x3 which will make a great 3x3 stage. The inner layers are actually terrible out of the box, but after 40 or so solves they tend to get a lot better. After I tightened it because popping got quite overwhelming, cornercutting is about 1 piece and reverse is about 1/3 of a piece. The stickerless bright is actually not that bright but I still really like the shades. Popping didn't really become an issue until my inner layers became fast. Then I tightened it, which I had to try about 10 different screwdrivers before 1 finally performed ok. I lubed it with some dnm but that didn't change that much. After I tightened it, it gets a few slight catches but nothing severe. The logo is not a sticker so if you want to get rid of the logo you have to either scratch it off or put a different logo on top of it. I don't have an aosu to compare it with but that is pretty much all I have to say about this cube.

Edit: This cube actually isn't that great. I bought a Yuxin Blue and it is MUCH better. Now this thing is super tight but still EXPLODES on me. Don't lose the internals like I did lol.

Good cube

It is a really good cube with very fast turning outer layers. The inner layers are crunchy and a little hard to turn. The cube has popped once on me where two of the pieces flew off, but I was able to put it back together and it back to normal. The shades for stickerless are very good and I can easily tell them apart.

Backup main (after some work)

When I first got my stickerless G4, it was catchy and locked up all the time. I took it apart and sanded down all the flash and sharp pieces. That took away the locks and catching. It was still sluggish, so I did a spring swap with Thunderclap springs. This made it awesome! It corner cuts almost as good as my Yuxin Blue. It had a good stable feel and I keep it as my backup main 4x4.

Very Good for Starters

Out of the box, it wasn't great, but once I got it restickered and set up properly, it is very good! Unfortunately, it has had some pops, which has led to lots of rage trying to reassemble it. Locks are present, but minimal. Very good for a starter 4x4.

Dont Disassemble!!!

Out of the box, it was disappointing. The sluggish, and extremely tight tensions made my hands hurt after 2 solves. When I disassembled it to tension and lube it w/ Traxxas 50k and maru, I got so frustrated since the assembly was so difficult and irritating. After successfully assembling it after 3 hours and I broke it in, it became surprisingly fast and smooth with mediore corner cutting and became my main over the aosu because of the nonexistent pops and amazing feel due to the small size. Anyways, some notes I have if you get this cube is that you should not tension it too much because the screws are made of cheap material and will strip easily, and the stickerless shades contrast very well unlike shown in the picture. AND DO NOT DISASSEMBLE IT. This is an amazing cube for the price if you put enough love in it.

Terrible

I was only trying to get a regular, good turning 4x4, but this is considered a nightmare. The layers on the inside are so bad, it is so cringey when you try solving it and you feel like it will pop. I think it was old plastic or something but seriously. MY EIGHT DOLLAR GUANSU TURNS BETTER THAN THIS CRAP! If it is now in new plastic, I hopefully recommend you get the new plastic.
