Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Challenging Icosahedron with flawed mechanics

This puzzle has the same mechanism as (Evgeniy Icosahedron Standard) and (Evgeniy Icosahedron Dogixl). This is the 'hard difficulty' puzzle of the series. But it has problems! Although the stickers are good quality and nice variety, the overall mechanism is flawed.

It will often lock when twisting unless correctly aligned (aka no corner-cutting). Pieces almost never pop, but sadly even if correctly aligned, the corner facets (5 triangles per corner block) the corner facets will often separate into two pieces which will jam the entire puzzle! You might try popping them out, gluing the half-facets together, and then rebuilding the puzzle.

Corner facet disintegration aside, the puzzle is very stiff. It comes unlubricated. Perhaps some lube and tweaking of axis-tension would help? Out of the box it is very tedious to play... Like the other puzzles in the Evgenivy Icosahderon series, this puzzle is rather large. The large size is actually good (my opinion) because the center facets and 1/3 (guess) of corner facets are multi-colored.

The design is not totally bad, but for the price it is not user-friendly. However the challenge is remarkable, so may justify the price. Either way it makes for a nice collectible!

Solving Tip: If you arrange the corners facets and center facets to align in color, you can 'almost' solve it like the much simpler Evgeniy Icosahedron Standard. However you may encounter a "parity" error where two (multi-color) faces need to be swapped. Per group theory (mathematics stuff) you can NOT swap two faces (without other changes). If you get this, rotate two adjacent 'side' faces so they align, and then (laboriously!) re-align the other 20/2 - 2 = 10 - 2 = 8 faces... problem solved! Sorry that is not a complete solution, which is why I called it a "tip" :)
